Superheroes Who Can Help Around the House

Superheroes are everywhere these days, from comics to movies to TV shows. And for the most part, all of these superheroes spend their days saving the world from gigantic threats.

But not every threat needs to be a worldwide calamity. Sometimes even small problems need powerful solutions. Regular folks like you and me often need help in their daily lives, especially when it comes to boring household chores.

Here are five superheroes well-suited to help you out around the house.

1. Spider-Man

After being bitten by a radioactive spider, young science nerd Peter Parker gained the proportional powers of a spider, including strength, speed, and the ability to stick to walls. He uses these powers to fight crime as The Amazing Spider-Man.

But being able to scramble around vertical surfaces means Spidey is also the perfect hero to wash the windows of your house. Sure, it’s not as glamorous as fighting The Green Goblin, but cleaning your windows can be a real chore for us non-superheroes.

2. Wolverine

With his mutant healing powers, Adamantium claws and feral senses, Wolverine is one of the strongest members of the X-Men. As he says, he’s the best there is at what he does — and what he does best for you could be yard work.

His claws can cut through anything, so why not put Wolvie to work trimming your trees, pruning your bushes, and cutting your lawn? Plus, his healing factor protects him from any long-term sun damage.

3. Iron Man

Tony Stark is one of the smartest guys in the Marvel Universe. After being kidnapped by terrorists, he built an armored suit and blasted his way to safety. Now he fights evil the world over as Iron Man. But his genius with electronics has plenty of mundane uses, too.

When Tony’s in your house, he could help program your entertainment system. He might also set your thermostat for maximum efficiency. Have an Internet router that’s always going out? Tony can handle that, too.

When it comes to household electronics, there’s no one better than Tony Stark.

4. Mr. Fantastic

After being blasted by cosmic rays, astronaut Reed Richards and his crew gained incredible powers. His friend became the indestructible Thing, his wife became The Invisible Woman, and his brother-in-law turned into the Human Torch. Reed himself gained the power to stretch his body to incredible lengths.

Finally, someone who can reach behind the couch and get all the wayward dog toys! He’s also a good choice for helping you sort all those wires behind your entertainment center. When it comes time to get into any hard-to-reach area, Mr. Fantastic is a real hero around the house.

5. Batman

Batman terrorizes the underworld with theatricality and deception. If you’re a criminal, you never know when the Caped Crusader is going to jump out of the shadows and get you. Behind the scenes, Batman is a master at remaining hidden.

One way he does that is by using ventilation systems. If Batman is ever at your house, he could make himself pretty useful by crawling around in your ventilation systems and cleaning them.

Of course, Batman can be a little hard to get in touch with, so if you really do have an HVAC issue you might want to call in some professionals. A clean HVAC system is a key component of a healthy house, and the professional HVAC technicians aren’t nearly as frightening as Batman.

Superheroes don’t need to save the world to have an impact on your life. They can also help around the house. Maybe that won’t make for an exciting movie or TV show, but who wouldn’t love a little help around the house?
